What is an intelligent agent?

Each agent is a highly specialized software module designed to perform one task exceptionally well: analyzing style consistency, suggesting titles or extracting metadata. They work in parallel under your direction, like a team of expert assistants at your service.

Isolated environments and regulatory compliance (GDPR and EU AI Act)

In the cultural sector, intellectual property is sacred. That is why we do not connect your projects to public models. We develop solutions in strict compliance with GDPR, Spain’s LOPDGDD and the EU AI Act, ensuring isolated, private environments. Your manuscripts, translations and data are protected by design: they are never shared or indexed and always remain under your full control.

Publishing intelligence starts here

Artificial intelligence opens up a new way of working in the world of books. It does not replace editorial judgment; it expands its reach and makes room for what no machine can do: imagine, think, create and decide.

Frequently asked questions

An agent is an AI-powered assistant specializing in a specific publishing task. It is not a general-purpose chatbot: each agent has a defined purpose, its own instructions, specialized training and an expected output, such as a reader’s report, corrected text, a cover proposal, a proofreading report or an interior or cover design. The platform launches with ten agents covering the core publishing workflow, and the agent catalog will expand in stages.

Always. The workflow is based on proposals and validation: the agent suggests, and the person can work on, edit or reject the suggestion at any time. Changes to text are presented for review and can be accepted all at once, individually or rejected, with a version history retained. No agent irreversibly modifies a text or publishes anything without explicit human approval.

The platform works with the most widely used text formats in publishing: DOCX, Markdown and PDF. It also accepts text files such as RTF or TXT.

Yes. The contracts and royalties module helps you manage the issuance, registration and tracking of acquired rights throughout the contracted exploitation period, as well as track royalties with the author.

Yes. Each title has a workspace with distinct roles and permissions—editorial direction, editing, proofreading, design and press—along with version history and a record of who did what and when. Comments and decisions remain linked to the title and to the coordination of the editorial team assigned to each project, whether external freelancers or imprint employees.

Yes. Editavia drafts press releases, back-cover copy, sales pitches for sales teams and social media content based on the book’s actual content. Drafts are edited within the platform before use.

Editavia uses Anthropic’s Claude family of models through its enterprise API, selecting the appropriate model for each task’s requirements and cost. The architecture allows other providers to be added in the future without affecting publishers’ work.

Data is hosted on servers in the European Union, with encryption in transit and at rest. Each publisher has a workspace logically isolated from others through record-level security policies, so no customer can access another’s information.

Yes. Editavia complies with the General Data Protection Regulation and Spain’s Organic Law 3/2018. Registration includes signing the data processing agreement required by Article 28 of GDPR. The record of processing activities and the privacy policy are available here.
