Frequently asked questions

Editavia is a cloud platform for comprehensive publishing management. It brings together manuscript submission and assessment, reader’s reports, proofreading, layout preparation, catalog tracking, documentation for each title, distribution, marketing and promotional campaigns, contracts and royalties, and other features that add value to the publishing process. Each process is assisted by specialized AI agents working under the user’s supervision and final decision. Editavia does not replace editorial judgment: it makes it faster, more organized and traceable.

Editavia serves two types of customers: publishers and self-publishing authors. Both use the same platform, but each has its own environment with features suited to the way they work.

Editavia’s publisher environment is designed to manage an entire catalog: multiple titles in progress, a team with distinct roles, your own collection templates and style guide, and production and promotion tracking for each work.

The entire publishing process, from start to finish, in one place: receiving and assessing manuscripts, proofreading and style editing, interior layout and cover design, preparing print files and tracking production, and creating marketing and promotional materials.

Today, that journey is split across tools that do not communicate—word processors, spreadsheets, layout software, email and shared folders—and external providers who each need coordinating. The result is hours lost to mechanical tasks, uncontrolled versions of the same text and a fragmented view of each title’s actual status.

Editavia brings that workflow into a single environment. Its AI agents automate the mechanical work and give editorial teams back the time and attention for what truly adds value: choosing well, editing well and selling well.

No. Editavia takes on the mechanical tasks: classifying submitted manuscripts, extracting manuscript data, identifying spelling and typography issues, generating an initial descriptive report or preparing a file for layout. Editorial judgment, literary assessment and publication decisions always belong to the people on the team. The platform shortens the path to that decision and documents every step.

No. The platform runs in your browser, with nothing to install and no specific software required. It is designed for book professionals, not IT specialists. Our AI agents make everything easier. Initial setup—collaborators, style guide, permissions, collections and contract templates—is handled with a virtual assistant that helps you get your imprint started quickly.

Your manuscripts are protected within your workspace and accessible only to the editor/user. Nobody else can access them. The platform cannot share them with third parties for any use, whether commercial or for training AI models.

The platform runs on infrastructure and AI providers contracted under enterprise terms that expressly exclude the use of customer data.

Personal data processing is governed by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spain’s Organic Law 3/2018 on the protection of personal data and the guarantee of digital rights. AI systems are used in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 on Artificial Intelligence. Ownership of works remains subject to Spain’s consolidated Intellectual Property Law, and Editavia acquires no rights over them.

Editavia guarantees optimal publishing results for Spanish-language texts. We will gradually extend solutions with the same quality of results to texts in other modern languages.

Yes. You can access and try the entire platform with one of your own books, without entering payment details. It is the best way to evaluate it: your own book going through the workflow, rather than a demonstration with a prepared example.

Getting started is simple: choose the pack that matches your publishing volume, register as a customer and enter the platform, which is straightforward and intuitive. An assistant guides you through each step, so no prior training is needed.
Every screen has help menus explaining what each feature does and what is expected of you at each step. If you get stuck, write to editavia@editavia.com: our team will help.
